Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Southern Maine.
I did my undergraduate work at the University of Chile (Santiago, Chile is where I am originally from) and also obtained a masters degree there in Algebraic Combinatorics. After completing my masters I came to the USA to do a Ph.D. in Mathematics at Wesleyan University in CT (my dissertation lies in the intersections of Homological Algebra and Model Categories).
I graduated in May 2011 and moved to Maine with my family in July 2011. At USM I am teaching math courses, advising students and also working on my own ideas and research.
When I am not doing math, I spend my time with my three
children enjoying the multiple outdoor activities that Maine has to
offer.
